To receive any of the awards below,
all horses and ponies must the be bona fide property of the rider for a period of two months prior to the show date.
The rider must be a resident of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
Points to be awarded as follows: 1st = 4 , 2nd = 3, 3rd = 2, 4th = 1, Champion = 4, Reserve Champion = 3.

Margaret River Produce and Rural Senior Trophy
Awarded to the Senior Rider/owner gaining the most points in the Show Horse events (18 years and over) on one
mount.

General Regulations & Section Conditions
- § Horses/Ponies may only compete in either Show Hunter or Show Horse classes
- not both.
- § Society's Liability: Lodgement
of an Entry is deemed to be acknowledgement by the Exhibitor of his/her agreement that persons entering events do so at their
own risk.
- § Safety Helmets - the current
approved standard safety helmet must be worn at all times whilst riding on the Society's Showground.
- § Age Restrictions: all exhibits in ridden pony hack classes
not exceeding 12.2h must be ridden by a rider 17 years of age and under as on the day of the show. Ponies over 12.2h n/e
14h may be ridden by adults and children.
- § Height
Certificates: ALL official competitors will require a current official EA or SHC-WA Height Card, and may be
asked to produce.
- § District classes are only for bona-fide
residents of the Shire of AMR.
- § Copies of junior riders
birth certificates may be asked for.
- § Length of whip
carried in events must not exceed 75cm.
- § Leading
Rein - pony is to be led on foot, by an adult, from a loose rein attached to the back of a cavesson noseband. It
may be required to walk and trot (but not canter) and stand while the rider dismounts and mounts. Child rider must be under
8 years. Rider may not then compete in open classes.
- §
Champions will be selected from the 1st place winners from each of the eligible classes. Reserve Champion
will be selected from the
remaining 1st place winners and the 2nd placegetter/s from the class/s which supplied the
Champion. - § Show Hunter Definition:
is not expected to have the same refinement as the Show Hack, but has other attributes which make them suitable for all age
groups to enjoy. The Show Hunter should create the impression that it is capable of hunting over a variety of terrains all
day. It should give a stronger impression than the Show Hack.
- §
Classes may be cancelled, altered or combined at the society's
discretion. - § Height Divisions for Ponies: Small Ponies are to be 12.2h and under. Large ponies are to
be over 12.2h n/e 14h.

Horses: Small Hacks are to be over 14h n/e 15h. Hacks are to be over 15h.

First ridden classes - riders are required to be off lead at walk and trot in the ring.
Canter may be
asked for in the workout; however, riders who are not confident to canter DO NOT have to canter and they will not be penalised
in any way.

off the lead previously in any capacity.
